Character interactions is probably one of my favorite parts of Universal Studios Hollywood. Don’t get me wrong, I absolutely love the rides. And, I try to ride most, if not all of them on any given day. But, the rides almost never change. Character interactions do.
These interactions are in chronological order as they appear in my photo album, not order of preference.
The Simpsons

This was one of my first character interactions in Universal Studios Hollywood. In some ways, that makes it really special. I am not really a fan of the Simpsons. In fact, I never watch the show. And I find the ride to be only so so. But, after traveling to Universal Studios Orlando with a friend who was far more interested in character interactions than the rides, I learned how much fun the character interactions can be.

I spotted these two while I was in line for the ride. And, I was happy to find they were still there once the ride was finished.

Frog Choir
When I went to Universal Studios on Christmas Eve, this was on my bucket list to see. And, I wasn’t disappointed.
Hedwig

Train Conductor

Triwizard Tournament
I didn’t actually get to see the show on Christmas Eve. They couldn’t hold the show because of the rain. But, I did get the photo op.

Frankenstein’s Monster

He was walking around and walking into things at the park.
Donkey

I love Donkey, but then, I also love Shrek. And, I am basically obsessed with Shrek the Musical. He made fun of me a few years ago when I took a selfie with him with a disposable camera.

Lucy from I Love Lucy

Lucy was a nice surprise on the VIP Tour. I wasn’t expecting to get much opportunity to interact with characters, but Lucy was in the restaurant for the VIP Experience.
Beetlejuice

Scooby-Doo & the Gang

By the time we ran into them on the VIP Experience, I was too tired to try to get a true photo op.
But they were some of the first characters I ran into on my next visit.

Norman Bates, Psycho
This was probably my favorite part of the studio tour when I was on the VIP Experience.
Shrek & Fiona

Blue the Raptor

Hello Kitty

And, I finally got my photo taken with Hello Kitty. I have seen her at the park several times in recent visits. I’m glad I finally got a photo.
Baby Sierra

I love Baby Sierra. It’s always entertaining to interact with her.
Optimus Prime
I never thought I would be so excited to interact with one of the Transformers.
