The Federal Justice Department and January 6

Last week, the Federal Justice Department requested thousands of files related to the January 6 committee’s investigation, and the January 6 Committee is pushing back on this. While I understand the January 6 Committee’s frustration with the justice department, but I think they’re being stupid. While I understand that there is information they are after as well, ‘wanting their moment’ is extremely selfish. There is only so much the January 6 Committee can do, and the more they delay, the greater the risk that these people are still walking around during the mid-term elections to commit the same crimes over again. Personally, I think we should fire all of congress and get a bunch of progressive independents in there to replace them all. Maybe something would actually get done instead of this stupid posturing.
