Welcome to Book Reviews–Edition 8. This week I read The Tale of Samuel Whiskers the Roly Poly Pudding by Beatrix Potter.
I had read The Tale of Samuel Whiskers the Roly Poly Pudding before. My aunt had gotten me a book of Beatrix Potter’s stories, and I believe this one was in it. I have no idea what happened to the book, but I no longer have it.
I’ve since reread this story twice, and I thoroughly enjoyed it. One thing I do take issue with is Tabitha Twitchit putting her kids in the cupboard. It was a different time when this story was written, and it hasn’t aged well in that regard. I give this book 4/5 because of that, but I otherwise enjoyed it.
