Republicans have started to trash the word “woke”, saying that people who are woke are bad. So why is “woke” suddenly bad? Because Republicans want you to sleep through all the crap they are doing.

Where Woke Originated
“Woke is now defined in this dictionary as “aware of and actively attentive to important facts and issues (especially issues of racial and social justice),” and identified as U.S. slang. It originated in African American English and gained more widespread use beginning in 2014 as part of the Black Lives Matter movement. By the end of that same decade it was also being applied by some as a general pejorative for anyone who is or appears to be politically left-leaning.” ~Merriam Webster
So, they do not want people to be attentive to facts and issues, which makes sense because Republicans prefer ‘alternative facts’. But, let’s call them what they are–lies. Republicans make things up, and they don’t want us to know that, because they need our votes.

This word was generally used by younger generations such as millenials and Gen Z, whom Republicans hate. Why else would they focus so hard on restricting our votes rather than engaging with us? Because they have no platform to engage us with.
So, when you hear Republicans saying that something is ‘too woke’, that should be a key phrase to look into it beyond their rhetoric, because it’s probably something they don’t want you to engage in.
