10 Awesome Things to Do in Los Angeles this Weekend

Los Angeles is a city of dreams, a melting pot of cultures, and a place where anything is possible. It’s also a city with a lot to offer visitors, from world-class museums and art galleries to stunning beaches and iconic landmarks. If you’re planning a trip to LA, you’re probably wondering where to start. Here’s a list of 10 awesome things to do in Los Angeles:

1. 2-Hour Hollywood Bus Tour

Even if you live in LA, you probably haven’t seen even half of what there is to see in the city. The Hollywood Bus Tour starts at $35.90/person and takes you on a comprehensive tour of Hollywood with a stop at the Hollywood Walk of Fame, as well as passing by the Hollywood sign, Mulholland Drive, the Sunset Strip, and Rodeo Drive.

2. Warner Bros Studio Tour Hollywood

This is one of my favorite tours in the LA area. I went a few years ago, and a couple of girls on the tour were given free wands! The tour starts at $70 and includes the opportunity to see the famous Central Perk cafe from “Friends,” as well as become a part of the DC Universe and Harry Potter. I even got to ride a broomstick (NOTE: this activity does cost extra).

You get to see the real friends fountain

and sit in Sheldon’s spot at the Apartment 4A Big Bang Theory set.

3. Universal Studios Hollywood

Another favorite of mine, I highly recommend making a trip to Universal Studios in Hollywood. While this is a much smaller amusement park than the park in Florida (or in Japan, as there tend to be a lot of comparisons), this is still a great way to spend the day.

General Tickets cost $109, Express Tickets cost $199, and the VIP Tour starts at $369.

Halloween Horror Nights starts at $77/person.

4. Los Angeles Venice Beach LA Food Tour

Prices for this tasting tour start at $89/person.

5. Official Hollywood Sign Walking Tour

If you’ve ever wanted to hike to the Hollywood Sign, but didn’t want to go alone, this tour is for you. The Hollywood Sign Walking Tour starts at $30/person.

6. Swan Boat Rental in Echo Park

For those that like paddleboats, I recommend the swan boat rental at Echo Park Lake. The rental is $12/person for a one hour rental. They have small and large swan boats, so you can go as a solo traveler or in a group.

7. La Brea Tar Pits

La Brea Tar Pits is free for residents of Los Angeles Monday-Friday from 3-5 PM and $15 for adults the rest of the time. If you want to go on a tour of the tar pits there is a segway tour available for $199/person.

8. Los Angeles Club Crawl

I’m not really a clubber, but if you are, this tour is for. you. It starts at $35/person and takes you through 3-4 clubs in downtown LA with no lines and no waiting.

9. Angeles Forest Hiking Tour

If your preference is hiking, this Angeles Forest Hiking Tour starts at $69/person will take you on a 4.5 mile hike to a waterfall and water pools that you can swim in.

10. Chinatown Ghost Hunting Tour

For those who like all things supernatural, perhaps the Chinatown Ghost Hunting Tour will be the best fit. Prices start at $55/person.
