Super Nintendo World Attractions

For those looking to visit the newest land at Universal Studios Hollywood, Super Nintendo World has many attractions. Here are the Super Nintendo World Attractions you can expect to see.

Bowser’s Challenge: Mario Kart

Mario Kart is the ride located in this land. Unlike Orlando and other larger Universal Studios parks, there is only one ride located in each land of the park.

You start off the ride by putting on your 3D glasses and tapping your wristband (if you have one) against the steering wheel. Then you have a chance to practice shooting small CGI cutouts of Bowser and his minions. Then the race begins.

There are many scenes from the actual game such as an underwater scene, ghosts, and rainbow road. In the end, either Team Mario or Team Bowser wins.

Toadstool Cafe

Toadstool Cafe is the restaurant in Super Nintendo World. There have been a lot of complaints due to it not being the same as the Toadstool Cafe, in particular, that there are fewer menu items than the Japanese version. Some of the key items they cited as being missing may not be served at the restaurant, but they are served outside of Super Nintendo World on the lower lot.

The Games

To my knowledge, I have not played all of the games, but I have played three of them. The purpose of the games are to earn a key from each. Three keys get you into Bowser’s Castle with a shorter wait.

The Spinning Wheel

The easiest game I played, was one with a wheel. It involves cranking a wheel to knock down a koopa. Everyone I saw play this game was able to earn their key.

The Question Marks

This was the second easiest game. I had to do this twice to beat it. You have to keep hitting squares to either change them to yellow or blue. The goal is to get all the squares the same color before the time runs out. It took two tries for me to complete this one.

The Alarm Clocks

The most difficult game I played was the one with the alarm clocks. While the other games are easy to do individually (in fact, the wheel crank game can only been done as an individual), this one is almost impossible to do alone. You must turn off all of the alarms to keep the plants from waking up.

Bowser’s Castle

Bowser’s Castle is the end game. Once you have beaten at least three of the games, therefore earning three keys, you gain entry to Bowser’s Castle. You can get into Bowser’s Castle without the keys, but the keys allow you to bypass the line.
